Imperfect yet Perfect

Is it so hard to find love? Are the lovers of today merely characters of fiction?

Are there no people like us out there? Are there no people who celebrate a love and share a bond like we did — like the way I used to put my head on your shoulder for hours without saying a word, and how magically we never felt that something was incomplete?

 

—How you always sought a reason to place your lips on my forehead?

And, I remember how your eyes sparkled everytime you saw me. Out of billions of people, I was your one and only priority.

Walking around having your hand clasp mine always felt like walking down the aisle after being pronounced to be together. I remember how you introduced me to the world— "Hey, meet her. She is my woman."

You put every little effort to make me bare all my teeth and smile. Everytime you adjusted your bike mirror, you made it so as to get my clear view. You dealt with all of my tantrums with a smile on your face, like it was your duty to keep your sweetheart the happiest. 

I was your favourite melody which you were never tired of listening to.

And yes! I was the happiest person when I was with you.

Why did everything feel complete around you?

A love that was pure, honest and true. 

A love hard to find.  

A love far away from fear and insecurities.

A love which never needed words to express. 

And a love for which I would die millions of times...
